I’m so grateful that Wendy came into my life! I became interested in kambo after having a very difficult year in which things were just not going smoothly for me. Due to the heightened stress and worry I was experiencing, I also developed an array of physical conditions including a flareup of a dormant autoimmune disorder, pain and tension in my body, and a general sense of malaise, often feeling uncomfortable or not-quite-right. Experiencing Kambo for the first time has the ability to be frightening (rightfully so), however from our first conversation with Wendy through the end of our ceremony, she helped to minimize my concerns. And she provided my partner and me with a safe space to relax and to fully embrace our individual journeys with the knowledge that we were protected. For over 15 years I suffered through multiple debilitating physical disorders ranging from vertigo, chronic fatigue syndrome, extreme joint pain, silent migraines, bronchial issues and a variety of other anti-immune disorders. Believing in eastern medicine and being diagnosed by highly regarded doctors in their fields I persevered through treatment with little or no relief and eventually spiraled into deep depression. After extensive research my first impression was this seems extreme however after further conversation with Wendy I was convinced that it would be the solution to my long suffering and my mystery disease . On the day of my first treatment I was apprehensive, concerned and began second-guessing my decision however with no other alternatives and feeling no quality of life I decided to proceed with the treatment. Directly after the first treatment I wasn't sure what I felt however the day after I began to feel something unfamiliar to myself and that was "feeling better" something that I hadn't felt in years. It was in that moment that I knew that I would begin my journey to regain my life and become whole again. Wendy is amazing. My husband and I did 3 Kambo ceremonies with her and we are both so grateful she was the person to introduce us to this powerful medicine. We have both been dealing with several autoimmune issues and were looking for a new level of healing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Wendy’s energy is very calming and soothing, yet very strong and supportive at the same time. It’s the perfect balance, which I think is so important with Kambo. My fiancé and I did a lot of research looking for a Kambo practitioner, after communicating with five different practitioners we decided to go with Wendy. I got a good feeling from our e mail exchanges and an even better one with our phone conversation. She had a very calming voice and answered all our questions concisely. We ended up doing our session in December at Wendy's house. When we arrived the overall feeling and energy of Wendy's place was very comfortable and inviting. I've participated in a fair amount of various spiritual rituals throughout the years and there were a few where I didn't feel completely protected by the facilitator. Using these powerful plant and animal tools can put you in very a vulnerable position and I think it takes a lot of discipline and genuine intention to serve them to people and do it well. I have to say my experience with Wendy was easily the best one I've had so far. She clearly does her work from a heart space and is authentic as they come. She has a powerful yet gentle nature to her that feels like home. We were completely taken care of through each process of the ceremony and treated as if we'd been friends for a long time. My first trip to America was ten days in New York City recently. Planned and saved for the usual touristy stuff. However while in the Natural History Museum, in the American Indians exhibit, I felt the call to do a kambo ceremony instead. I had my first experience with kambo in Australia 8 months before and had had a few sessions since. I sent some emails out to the listed practitioners on the official website for the International Association of Kambo Practitioners (this made me feel safe and in good hands as I had worked with people trained by Karen Darke before and being over ten thousand miles from home I needed that certainty and security). Wendy was the first to respond and she had time available soon so I booked without hesitation. I arrived at her door a little nervous but that's to be expected. Meeting Wendy immediately settled my nerves. She exudes a loving, calming and grounding presence which was just what I needed. Everything was set up and ready and she gave clear information and instructions all the way through. Kindly and gently and with great intention for my well being we went through the processes which can be unpleasant but were made so much better and easier by her experience and care. I felt really at home with Wendy and even explored and discussed some deep and intimate things in my life, had some laughs and she gave me some information on further ceremonies on how to break my clutter tendencies. Finishing with some beautiful homemade soup. I had great energy later which may have helped in kicking my jet lag. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wendy to any beginner or experienced kambo person. If you are thinking of experiencing this practice, Wendy is knowledgeable and has real interest in helping others. I somehow stumbled upon Kambo on an internet search after three years of severe ill health as a result of contracting Lyme disease. Numerous symptoms lead me to be misdiagnosed by doctors which in turn lead to hospitalization as a result of being on medications for illness I did not have. A search for alternative treatments proved successful and Kambo became an integral part of my healing process. Most of all I would say that Kambo 'opened' me up and shook me to the core from a state of stagnation and despair I had lived with for quite some time. Kambo is a guide and teacher and in subtle and 'not so subtle' ways guided me to open to universal love and taught me that I needed to protect myself from toxins, be they physical from the environment or mental and emotional vibrations that can lead to ill health and disease. I would recommend Wendy to anyone who is drawn to this work. The ambiance of the space and the kindhearted warm embrace you feel dispels any doubt you may have as you embark on this journey. Wendy's fearlessness and arduous training and dedication more than qualifies her to administer and serve Kambo. If my testimony here will help anyone contemplating getting Kambo treatment, then me sharing my personal experience pays off. I was diagnosed with autoimmune disease (Hashimoto) three years ago. I have had all the very “not fun” symptoms including digestions issues, unexplained weight gain, fatigue, brain fog etc… I have tried so many things but nothing helped to alleviate these symptoms inducing medications, supplements and a very stick clean diet. Then I happened to meet a guy who claimed that kambo had cured him of Lyme disease. After a lot of reading and research I decided that I must give it a try. I contacted Wendy and did three consecutive Kambo treatments. After each treatment I felt better and better. My recent blood test showed an amazing improvement (my integrative doctor is now considering doing it himself!). I have not felt so great in three years. Besides the physical improvements and alleviating of my terrible symptoms I also feel a shift in my ”being”! I am much more grounded and relaxed than I have been in a long time and I do not “identify” with my condition. I feel 100% healthy! In addition, not sure how to explain it, but personally a lot of good things have been happening to me recently. My intuition tells me that it is the Kambo or maybe the change it made in my overall perception?! I’m very grateful that I met Wendy, she is a true healer and I could not imagine doing this treatment with anyone else. Kambo can only heal with the right intention. Upon meeting Wendy my first impression with her before the kambô ceremony began, was that she was such a humbling and sincere person to be around, a beautiful gem in Manhattan. Wendy was not stuck in the ego mind as with some so called healers in Manhattan. Wendy is a skilled trained and experienced kambô practitioner. This is my 3rd experience with kambô and the 1st with Wendy and many others to follow. Wendy has a lot of knowledge about kambô and other jungle healing practices as well. The spirit of kambô can be very challenging to work with mentally and physically but during the kambô cleanse the spirit of the medicine only gives a person what they can handle at the moment. Kambô releases what doesn't serve us for our highest potential and good. As human beings we tend to want to hold on to those old stories of what we think we are or should be. After a kambô session with Wendy all my five senses became clearer and heightened I felt lighter, blissful and more mentally focused. People who are looking to work with Kambô should approach the work with love not fear and be open to having an ongoing relationship with kambô. Kambô should not be a one time experience.
